Position OverviewMac More is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to provide high-impact policy and regulatory support for USAID’s Agency-wide closeout initiative. This role supports Contracting and Agreement Officers by delivering clear, actionable regulatory guidance to ensure compliant, timely, and audit-ready closeout of contracts, grants, and other assistance mechanisms.
This position requires independent judgment, strong regulatory research skills, and the ability to translate complex policy into practical execution guidance in a fast-paced closeout environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of federal acquisition, assistance, and administrative policy.
- Provide authoritative regulatory guidance to Contracting Officers, Agreement Officers, and program staff.
- Draft policy memoranda, regulatory deviations, and internal guidance documents.
- Review, update, and standardize standard operating procedures (SOPs) supporting closeout activities.
- Track and interpret changes to FAR, AIDAR, OMB guidance, and USAID policy impacting closeout.
- Support leadership with policy recommendations and compliance risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable U.S. Government laws, regulations, and USAID policies.
- At least five (5) years of direct experience providing policy and/or regulatory guidance supporting U.S. Government contract or grant operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Public Policy, Law, Business, Public Administration).
- Demonstrated experience working independently in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
- Strong written communication skills with experience drafting formal policy documentation.
