The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country.

Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.

Position Summary

The Regional Political Coordinator will serve as a member of the Political department. This position helps support planning and execution of political department processes and major events including Fly-Ins. While the coordinator(s) report directly to the department’s Manager, they will also support the Regional Political Directors with scheduling and administrative duties, as needed and assigned.

This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Political Program & Operations Manager with coordinating and executing department events and meetings such as briefings, retreats and Fly Ins;
  • Working with internal teams to coordinate investment and other internal processes;
  • Drafting various PowerPoint presentations in a format that will be easy to relay to key stakeholders;
  • Coordinating and facilitating internal meetings on behalf of the Regional Political Directors;
  • Reviewing and drafting memos, presentations, and reports for the Political department;
  • Performing special projects and general administrative tasks associated with the Political department;
  • Performing other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the Political team.
Requirements
  • At least one cycle (2 years) of campaign experience required;
  • At least one cycle of administrative and operational experience is preferred;
  • Strong ability to build and run tight, efficient systems and processes across multiple departments and external partners including legal and campaigns;
  • Superior time management, planning, organizational and communications skills;
  • Attention to detail and self-motivation required;
  • Experience with Microsoft office, especially Excel, is required, and experience with G suite is strongly preferred;
  • Dedication to electing a Democratic Majority to the House of Representatives;
