Role Overview

The Executive Director will be responsible for originating and managing relationships with global institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, large asset owners, and financial sponsors. The role involves close collaboration with global coverage teams and product partners to deliver tailored financing and advisory solutions across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding wallet share, driving revenue growth, and maintaining strong portfolio quality while operating in a highly cross-border, relationship-driven environment.

Locations: Washington, D.C., New York, NY or Houston, TX

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead coverage and origination efforts across global institutional investors, with a particular focus on sovereign wealth funds and financial sponsors.
  • Act as a senior relationship manager for key clients, driving strategic dialogue, business development, and long-term engagement.
  • Originate, structure, negotiate, and execute transactions across structured finance, fund financing, advisory, and global capital markets (debt and equity).
  • Oversee transaction execution, including term sheets, financial modeling, information memoranda, mandate letters, and financing documentation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (credit, risk, legal, compliance, operations) to assess and manage credit, market, and operational risks.
  • Ensure strong portfolio credit quality, timely credit reviews, and adherence to internal governance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to talent development and a high-performance, value-driven culture.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience in Corporate and/or Investment Banking.
  • Demonstrated experience covering sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors, and/or financial sponsors.
  • Strong product knowledge across structured finance, fund financing, capital markets (debt and equity), and complex cross-border transactions.
  • Proven ability to independently originate, structure, and execute transactions.
