Georgetown, Washington, DC. Office Situation: 100% in-office.

Title:

Controller. Salary: $165K–$175K base + performance-driven bonus.

• Senior-level Controller role partnering directly with the CFO and ownership

• Lead day-to-day accounting across a multi-entity commercial real estate portfolio
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close, journal entries, and cash activity
• Maintain general ledger integrity and chart of accounts
• Prepare and review investor distributions and wires
• Partner with auditors on year-end audits and tax filings
• Review commercial real estate tax structures and returns
• Consolidate property-level financials into Yardi
• Attend monthly property-management financial reviews
• Support fund and investment-entity accounting
• Work closely with senior leadership on financial reporting and strategy

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA required (active preferred)
• 7–10 years of commercial real estate accounting experience
• Strong tax exposure with ability to review returns
• Audit coordination experience
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros)
• Experience working with multi-entity structures
