Financial Credit Risk, Senior Associate

Join PwC’s Balance Sheet Management practice in Financial Risk and Regulatory services. As a Senior Associate, you will help business leaders embed proactive, dynamic risk‑management capabilities and mindsets into their corporate business practices. Your role will span strategy to implementation, assisting clients with gap assessments, designing and implementing asset and liability management processes, funding and liquidity planning, stress testing, and capital management.

You’ll build tools that enable clients to use capital and liquidity resources efficiently, consistent with regulatory expectations.

As a member of the Risk & Regulatory Advisory team, you will advise financial institutions on a broad range of credit risk management topics, including: organization and governance; credit process optimization; risk rating model design, build and implementation; and Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) processes and tools. You will work on a team evaluating, designing, and implementing credit risk strategies to support clients in addressing key market challenges.

    Experience:

  • Preferred Degree: Master’s Degree
  • Preferred Fields Of Study: Business Administration/Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Economics
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience in commercial and retail lending and credit process redesign initiatives.
  • Familiarity with conducting credit risk processes, underwriting, credit analysis, and risk rating assignment.
  • Developing, applying, and validating commercial credit risk methodologies and models.
  • Creating and executing design and application of credit risk reporting and analytics.
  • Knowledge of Allowance for Credit Losses, CECL methodology, US GAAP, and IFRS 9.
  • Experience with commercial credit regulatory guidance covering CECL and credit risk review systems.
  • Completion of a formal credit training program.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and familiarity with commercial loan types and credit risk workflow tools.

The salary range for this position is $77,000 – $202,000, plus a discretionary annual bonus. Compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
