Job DescriptionWe are representing a prestigious law firm seeking a Sovereign Wealth Associate to join their team in either the New York or Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience focusing on investment funds, private equity, and sovereign wealth funds, with a particular emphasis on complex international investment transactions. This is an in‑person position, and all employees are required to comply with the firm’s employment policies.
Responsibilities- Work on complex international investment transactions, including those involving investment funds, private equity, and sovereign wealth funds.
- Draft, review, and negotiate investment agreements and related legal documents.
- Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to sovereign wealth and private equity investments.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and manage aspects of investment transactions.
- Conduct in‑depth legal research and provide strategic advice to clients on international investment matters.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
- Must be licensed to practice law in either New York or Washington, D.C.
- 3+ years of experience in investment funds, private equity, and sovereign wealth funds.
- Strong experience with complex international investment transactions.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and negotiation skills.
The base salary range for this position in New York City is $260,000 – $390,000
