Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including related financial reporting.
  • Perform periodic reconciliations of tax general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with SEC reporting, including tax disclosures within Form 10Q and 10K filings.
  • Manage and assist in preparing US Federal, state, and foreign income tax and non-income tax/informational returns with third-party service providers.
  • Maintain the worldwide tax compliance calendar in collaboration with third-party providers.
  • Calculate and prepare quarterly Federal and state estimated tax payments.
  • Prepare annual R&D/Orphan Drug Credit calculations and related IRC 174 R&D capitalization for domestic tax purposes.
  • Research, document, and present findings on issues affecting the company's worldwide tax structure.
  • Assist with reviewing and maintaining tax policies and controls in accordance with SOX 404.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as finance and legal to gather information and understand company activities.
  • Support forecasting activities related to tax components.
  • Manage and prepare non-income tax filings such as VAT, sales and use tax, and property tax.
  • Participate in tax planning projects from initiation to implementation.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate tax or public accounting (Big 4 preferred).
  • CPA required;
    Masters in Taxation strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Ability to research and interpret laws and regulations relevant to tax issues.
  • Capability to educate and train financial management on tax issues.
  • Proven project and program management skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, with good judgment and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of US corporate tax and basic international tax principles.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel.
  • Knowledge of One Source (OTP) tax software is a plus.
  • Experience in Life Sciences is a plus.
