LHH is partnered with an international professional services organization to identify a Global Controller. This role, a key strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer, oversees the full spectrum of accounting operations across multiple international offices, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and scalability of financial processes worldwide. The ideal candidate brings more than a decade of experience guiding accounting functions in complex environments, a demonstrated history of leading and developing large teams, and a proven ability to elevate global operating efficiency, compliance, and financial transparency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive global accounting framework, ensuring alignment with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and country‑specific regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee all accounting operations across regions, including general ledger management, global close processes, and multi‑entity consolidation.
  • Implement strong internal controls, governance structures, and audit‑ready processes that support organizational growth and mitigate financial risk.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of consolidated financial statements, including income, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
  • Guide the management of partner, equity, or ownership accounting structures, ensuring accurate allocations, distributions, and reporting.
  • Direct global tax coordination efforts in partnership with internal teams and external advisors, ensuring timely filings and compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, and liquidity planning across global operating units.
  • Manage external audit engagements and maintain strong relationships with independent auditors.
  • Champion modernization of financial systems, automation solutions, and reporting technologies to enhance efficiency and data reliability.
  • Lead, mentor, and expand a global accounting team, establishing clear performance expectations, development plans, and succession pathways.
  • Advise senior leadership on financial implications of business decisions and strengthen transparency through high‑quality reporting and communication.
Qualifications
  • CPA Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience overseeing large, multi‑location accounting teams in a complex, dynamic organization.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, multi‑entity consolidation, foreign currency translation, and global compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with major ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and analytics platforms; experience with BI solutions (e.g., Power BI) is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to senior stakeholders and non‑financial audiences.
  • A leadership approach that emphasizes team development, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the base salary range is estimated to be $200,000 to $220,000 and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
