Finance Operations Specialist (Order-to-Cash / CPQ Support)

We’re a mid-sized technical services and systems integration business improving our quote-to-cash workflows ahead of an ERP/CPQ modernization. This role owns day-to-day execution across billing, AR follow-through, and cross-functional handoffs—reducing exceptions and accelerating cash.

• Drive order-to-cash execution from “ready to invoice” through cash collected
• Run a consistent collections cadence and manage customer AP relationships professionally
• Own billing exceptions (disputes, short-pays, credits/rebills, missing documentation, customer-specific invoicing requirements)
• Improve handoffs and documentation across Sales/Delivery/Finance to reduce rework
• Support CPQ/quote package completeness (required fields/docs, customer setup accuracy, approvals)
• Build lightweight SOPs/checklists so execution isn’t dependent on tribal knowledge
• Partner with Finance leadership on ERP readiness (process mapping, data hygiene, reducing exception volume)

• Improved AR aging, especially >>60 / >90 days
• Faster invoice cycles and fewer avoidable credits/rebills
• Clear visibility into an exception queue with owners and next steps
• Documented O2C process and weekly operating rhythm

• 3+ years in AR / billing / collections / finance operations (B2B)
• Strong ownership mindset—can drive closure across teams
• Comfortable handling customer conversations with tact + firmness
• Solid Excel skills; ERP experience a plus (Net Suite not required)
