Overview
Our client is a non-profit organization located in DC looking to inform, educate, and inspire our community. Due to growth, they are hiring a Controller to work hybrid. The leadership team is dedicated to employee success and love to promote from within. Pay: $55-65/hr depending on experience. This position is temporary and 100% in office. Free parking is available on site.

- Directs and coordinates company financial planning and budget management functions.
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.
- Monitors and analyzes monthly operating results against budget.
- Oversees daily operations of the finance department.
- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
- Works with department managers and staff to develop 5-year and 10-year business plans for the company, goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Directs financial audits and provides recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Provides financial statement reporting and analysis, cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Directs month end closings, financial reporting and coordination of audits.
- Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
- Nonprofit experience is helpful but not a must have
- Advanced Excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUPs
- CPA a plus
