The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations and create dashboards
  • Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports
  • Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
  • Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues to management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
  • 0 - 3 years' financial analysis and modeling experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel

What you'll achieve:

This role is a key contributor to Surgo Health's growth, supporting the FP&A function with financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and strategic decision support. The Financial Analyst will serve as an analytical engine for the company, translating business drivers into financial insights that inform optimal decision-making. This individual will work collaboratively across functions to understand strategic challenges and link operational activities with financial results.

Key Responsibilities Financial Modeling & Analysis
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain financial models supporting growth initiatives, strategic planning, and operational decision-making
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures across product lines
  • Monitor KPIs, highlight trends, and analyze causes of unexpected variances
  • Prepare acquisition and investment models with IRR and other return metrics as needed
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely recommendations to management
Forecasting & Budgeting
  • Maintain and update rolling forecast models based on assumptions from senior management
