The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia, is in search of a Communication Specialist. This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Office of the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO).
The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Public Affairs Specialist with promoting the Office of Tax and Revenue’s Modernized Integrated Tax System and Taxpayer Access Portal (TAP) among District individuals and business taxpayers by generating awareness of and educating them on the benefits of the new portal.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing internal and external communication services such as serving as a writer, copy editor and researcher of various documents such as brochures, pamphlets, and internal websites and social media platforms.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) years of progressive work experience to include creating visual designs and displays; developing written content; editing and producing professional materials; and researching information for documents, websites, and social media platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
