Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Washington, DC. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for performing general accounting duties such as maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will manage accounts payable and receivable, process payroll, reconcile financial discrepancies, and assist in budgeting and forecasting. Collaboration with other departments will be essential to support the organization's financial objectives and reporting requirements.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management
  • Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for cross-department collaboration
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus
