Build the Financial & Commercial Operations of a High-Growth Commercial Real Estate Startup

We’re looking for a commercially sharp, builder-minded finance leader with deep commercial real estate experience who wants to help shape a company from the ground up. This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives in fast‑moving environments, enjoys building structure where none exists, and wants a real seat at the table as we scale.

You’ll partner closely with the CFO and executive team to own the company’s commercial, financial, and operating foundation — from contracts and cash to forecasting and governance — while helping turn vision into execution.

• Lead the commercial review and negotiation of SaaS, O&M, development, and corporate agreements.
• Build and maintain a centralized contract system that tracks economics, obligations, renewals, and performance.
• Partner with Legal, Development, and Construction to align pricing, milestones, and risk with company objectives.
• Support vendor governance and commercial dispute resolution as the platform scales.

• Own corporate FP&A, including annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning.
• Build integrated financial models across corporate, development, construction, and operating entities.
• Create executive-level dashboards and KPIs covering liquidity, SG&A, capital deployment, development velocity, and financial health.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.

• Run day‑to‑day treasury operations, including cash positioning, banking activity, and liquidity visibility.
• Manage intercompany cash flows across multi‑entity development structures.
• Lead short‑ and long‑term liquidity forecasting across corporate and project platforms.
• Optimize capital allocation across projects in close partnership with the CFO and CAO.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, lenders, and financing partners.

• Oversee AP/AR, T&E, corporate card programs, and spend controls.
• Establish delegation of authority, expense policies, and financial operating procedures.
• Partner with the CAO on close, reporting cadence, and financial accuracy.
• Put disciplined, scalable financial processes in place without slowing growth.

• Act as a trusted financial and commercial partner to Development, Operations, Legal, IT, and HR.
• Advise on project pacing, contracting strategy, and corporate investment decisions.
• Support financing initiatives, strategic projects, and enterprise-scaling efforts.
• Build repeatable systems that enable speed, accountability, and smart risk‑taking.

• 8–10+ years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, treasury, or operations finance.
• Strong financial modeling skills with experience across multi-entity and project-based capital structures.
• Proven experience negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts.
• Background in commercial real estate, development, infrastructure, or adjacent asset-heavy industries.
• Comfortable operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments.
