Private Equity Associate - Industrials

A well-established private equity firm based in Washington, DC is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its investment team. The firm invests across control-oriented transactions and is known for its collaborative culture, disciplined investment approach, and long-term partnership mindset.

• 2–4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a comparable investing role
• Exceptionally strong financial modeling and analytical skill set
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, thoughtful, and intellectually curious
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment with open dialogue and mentorship
• Interest in building a long-term career in private equity

• Evaluate new investment opportunities through financial modeling, industry research, and qualitative analysis
• Build and maintain detailed operating and LBO models
• Prepare investment memoranda and materials for internal investment committee discussions
• Support transaction execution, including coordination with advisors, legal counsel, and management teams
• Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
• Actively monitor portfolio company performance and assist with value creation initiatives
• Participate in portfolio management, board materials, and exit planning
