Description:
This role supports a high-visibility Department of the Navy client in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment focused on improving financial materiality, audit readiness, and data integrity. The work directly impacts leadership decision-making and helps ensure accurate funding and budget allocations are in place to support our warfighters. Candidates will work hands-on with Navy ERP and related financial systems, tackling complex reconciliation challenges and contributing to enterprise-level transformation efforts.
This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact while working alongside experienced professionals supporting one of the Navy's most critical financial initiatives. CGI is consistently recognized as a great place to work, offering a collaborative culture, strong leadership support, and opportunities for professional growth on meaningful federal missions. This position is located onsite at the Pentagon 5 days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:

Correct Daily Defense Expenditure File (DDEF) errors, with a primary focus on high-priority leadership-targeted areas. Prepare, submit, and track Standard Form (SF) 1081s when necessary. Conduct detailed contract and system-level research to identify root causes of financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Submit, manage, and track SNAP tickets to resolution, serving as a primary liaison for deep-level system issues from initiation through closure. Support de-obligation efforts, including weekly monitoring and correction of requests related to contract closeout activities. Lead reconciliation efforts to ensure obligations are accurately recorded and funds are properly accounted for. Perform trend, risk, and opportunity analysis to support leadership decision-making and optimize resource utilization.
Evaluate the impact of policy changes, ensure compliance with established DON financial policies, and provide recommendations for process improvements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts as needed and coordinate with client stakeholders at the division director level. Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Demonstrated experience supporting Department of the Navy Financial Operations. Hands-on experience reconciling Navy ERP financial records using relevant feeder systems including WAWF / PIEE, DCAS, MOCAS, DTS, and related DoD financial systems. Experience managing and reconciling centrally administered UMT accounts. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (analysis, reconciliation, reporting). Experience conducting root cause analysis and resolving financial discrepancies across multiple systems.
Ability to work independently in a high-visibility, deadline-driven environment. Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Familiarity with DON financial policies, audit readiness initiatives, and ERP transformation efforts. Prior experience preparing executive-level analysis, metrics, or reporting for leadership. Active DOD Secret Clearance is required
