Director of Finance And Accounting

$150,000 – $165,000 | Remote (DC or commutable area strongly preferred)

Are you a tech-savvy finance leader with expertise in nonprofit accounting and Sage Intacct? Join our innovative team as Senior Director of Finance & Accounting, where you’ll drive strategic growth, systems transformation, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee all accounting operations, compliance, and reporting for a complex, federally funded nonprofit
• Lead a high-performing team of four, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Manage federal grants and Uniform Guidance compliance (2 CFR 200)
• Drive process optimization, system upgrades, and change management (Sage Intacct, Salesforce, , Concur, soon RAMP)
• Deliver clear, actionable financial insights to executive leadership and Board committees
• Own budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax filings, and financial reporting

What We’re Looking For:

• 7+ years’ professional accounting experience (nonprofit required; federal funding/OMB A-133 audit highly preferred)
• 4+ years’ supervisory experience and demonstrated team leadership
• Expert in Sage Intacct; strong systems mindset and change management success
• Experience with Salesforce, , Concur, ADP a strong plus
• Strong communicator, motivator, and process improvement champion
• BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business; MA/CPA strongly preferred
