Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Reporting

• Manages the day-to-day accounting functions
• Manages the audit process with CFO
• Monitors and ensures that all monthly journal entries (JE’s) are posted timely and accurately for all entities to ensure smooth month-end closing
• Ensure that all cash transactions are posted timely and JE’s are posted when transfers/payments are made
• Ensure that all Trial balance accounts are reconciled quarterly, with cash accounts reconciled monthly.
• Assists the CFO with all financial reporting
• Works closely with auditors at year-end including tax preparation
• Ensure all fees/revenue are posted timely and accurately
• Ensure all investor distributions are prepared, reviewed, wired, and posted timely and accurately
• Manages and controls the GL to ensure consistency across the portfolio
• Attend all month-end financial review meetings with property managers

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting and active CPA
• Will consider a Master's Degree in lieu of CPA
• 8+ years overall accounting & CRE experience
• CRE Tax experience / Ability to understand complex tax structures / Review & Approve Tax Returns
• Experience with Yardi or MRI
• Working knowledge of Fund Accounting and related investment structures
• Strong excel skills, with a process mindset
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative style
