Role: Senior Accountant, Structured Funds
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid 3x a week)
Compensation: $95,000 – $110,000 / Annually + comprehensive benefits

A growing national organization in the clean energy and infrastructure investment space is seeking a Senior Accountant, Structured Funds to support the accounting, reporting, and tax functions for a portfolio of structured fund entities.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required;
Master’s degree in Accounting preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Staff Accountant or in public accounting.
- Strong financial reporting experience;
- Working knowledge of technical accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 842)
- High proficiency in Excel with the ability to work efficiently across large data sets.
- Fund & Entity Accounting
- Manage accounting workflows for multiple structured fund entities.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain detailed workbooks/schedules for monthly and quarterly close.
- Produce full sets of stand‑alone and consolidated financial statements across several funds.
- Record routine and complex cash transactions tied to acquisitions, financing activities, and operational movement across the fund portfolio.
- Perform account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, and monthly consolidation activities.
Assist with accounting research to evaluate and document complex or non‑recurring transactions. - Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Generate ad‑hoc reports and financial analyses to support Asset Management and Development teams.
- Reconcile project budgets to actual spend and partner with internal teams to ensure accuracy in project‑level reporting.
- Support external reporting requirements through timely and accurate documentation.
- Process Improvement & Internal Controls
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance system utilization.
- Assist with developing, refining, and documenting accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Draft technical memos and support ongoing accounting research as needed.
