Overview
LHH is supporting a global multi-strategy asset management firm that is seeking a skilled Fund Accountant to join its finance team to support a diverse portfolio that includes private equity, real estate, and hedge funds. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Accounting and will handle the oversight of various accounting tasks and the management of the firm's relationship with their fund administrator.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and reconcile accounting data produced by third-party administrators, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly deliverables such as NAV packages, investor allocations, financial statements, and other reports
- Conduct initial reviews of monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including management and incentive fees, for final approval by senior accounting staff
- Gather and reconcile accounting data for regulatory compliance filings, ensuring alignment with fund reporting records for various forms
- Assist in preparing regular performance reports and ad-hoc investor requests, including performance summaries and capital activity summaries
- Support the audit and tax reporting processes for designated funds
- Maintain frequent communication with various internal departments and third-party administrators, contributing to firm-wide reporting and calculations
- A BS degree in Finance or Accounting is required
- CPA is a plus
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain an organized and prioritized workload, managing both recurring and-hoc deadlines effectively
- Superior analytical skills with a mindset geared towards continuous process improvement and enhancement
- Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with private equity funds, hedge funds, and familiarity with financial instruments is preferred

This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the base salary range is estimated to be $90,000 to $120,000 and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
