Accounting Manager

Overview

Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a local organization in the search for a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join their finance team. This position will report directly to the Assistant Director of Finance and play a key role in overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership ability, deep accounting knowledge, and experience managing fast-paced operational finance environments.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Review and analyze balance sheet accounts, ensure accuracy of journal entries, and maintain supporting schedules
• Supervise and guide accounting staff, providing training, task delegation, and performance feedback
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable activity to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper coding
• Maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit standards
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling financial data and preparing variance analyses
• Conduct monthly close procedures including accruals, account reconciliations, and financial review meetings
• Collaborate with department leaders to provide financial insights, reporting support, and process improvements
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries
• Review and monitor cash activity, prepare bank reconciliations, and support cash flow forecasting
• Maintain organized financial records and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
• Participate in policy updates, system improvements, and special projects as assigned
• Provide strong customer service to internal departments and external partners while handling inquiries professionally
