Senior Staff Audit Support Specialist

Our client, a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to impactful community service, is seeking a Senior Staff Audit Support Specialist to join their team. As a Senior Staff Audit Support Specialist, you will be part of the Audit and Assurance Division supporting internal audit activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Staff Audit Support Specialist

Location: Washington, District Of Columbia

Pay Range: $26-29/hr

What's the Job?

• Assist with planning, execution, and reporting of internal audit activities related to organizational operations.
• Understand organizational functions and identify areas of greatest risk to inform audit procedures.
• Develop and perform compliance, financial, and operational audits in accordance with industry standards.
• Examine records, reports, and documentation to ensure internal control procedures are followed.
• Communicate audit findings clearly and professionally to management and stakeholders.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 5-7 years of directly related experience in internal auditing or similar roles.
• Proficiency in audit tools such as ACL, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and MS Project.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of results.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
