The RoleWe are looking for a friendly, tech-savvy, and organized Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our customers. You are the "face" of JARS, responsible for checking in new and existing guests per ABCA (Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration) requirements, creating patient/customer profiles, and ensuring every guest feels welcome from the moment they walk in.
Job Duties- Compliance Check-In:
Verify legal age requirements, register new guests in the POS system, and scan returning customers while maintaining strict D.C. regulatory compliance. - Allotment Tracking:
Monitor customer purchasing limits through the POS system during the check-in process. - Guest
Experience:
Welcome guests with an upbeat demeanor, answer phones professionally, and provide information on products, daily specials, and loyalty programs. - Store Support:
Assist with online order processing, communicate with bud tenders regarding order updates, and maintain the cleanliness of the reception area. - Administrative:
Support store management with administrative tasks and ensure all digital/paper menus are current. - Regulatory Adherence:
Adhere at all times to all applicable District laws, ABCA regulations, and company security protocols.
- Age:
Must be 21 years of age or older (Statutory requirement). - Education:
High school diploma or GED required. - Experience:
1 year of retail/hospitality customer service AND 1 year of administrative or front-desk experience. - Compliance:
Must be eligible to obtain a D.C. Medical Cannabis Employee Registration, which requires a Certificate of Clean Hands (confirming no debt over $1,000 to the District). - Skills:
Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
