Summary: The Guest Experience Associate will have a unique opportunity to learn the inner workings of the Nationals Guest Experience Department. The role will provide invaluable insights into ballpark operations, customer service, and overall guest experience. It will support the department leadership team in day-to-day operations on both event and non‑event days and support the ballpark tours program. This position runs from March to October.
Responsibilities- Assist with the execution of the Guest Experience Department Rewards and Recognition program.
- Oversee and manage the Nationals Park Lost and Found Program.
- Produce and create the monthly Guest Experience newsletter and the Game Day Information sheet.
- Assist department leadership in ensuring purchasing inventories are accurate and maintained.
- Assist the Manager, Coordinator, and Director with the day‑to‑day operations of the department.
- Oversee the coordination and booking of all Ballpark Tours.
- Assist with staffing and operations of non‑gameday events.
- Assist with set up, break down, and distribution of promotions.
- Perform general clerical office duties, including filing, data entry, and other duties as assigned.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate degree or recent graduate program from an accredited college or university (within no more than six months).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successfully complete a background investigation.
- Be available for the entire length of the program.
- Require working on weekends and evenings on a regular basis.
None beyond those listed under Student Eligibility.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNo direct supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Necessary to Perform Essential Functions- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Game day seasonal:
Must function in a high activity, heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue, may work at heights, be exposed to inclement weather, regularly stand for long periods, walk long distances, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and lift or move up to 45 pounds.
The projected wage rate for this position is $17.95 per hour. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organizational requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
