As a telecommunications project lead, you will play an integral role in the entire design process—including preliminary assessments, concept creation, leading designs with support from peers, SMEs, and BIM designers, internal and external problem resolution, drawing and specification production, and customer and vendor accessibility. The role may involve several concurrent projects and requires ensuring they are completed on time.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.
  • Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Review technical documents.
  • Learn from more senior team leaders and be mentored.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements

Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.

Minimum 4 years’ experience actively designing or leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systems.

Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.

Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and how it applies to telecommunications structured cabling systems.

Familiarity working with Navisworks.

Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients.

Excellent project‑management skills.

Familiarity with responding to RFPs.

Experience creating a budget for a project.

Experience creating and maintaining a project schedule.

Experienced in identifying and mitigating company risk.

Credential as an RCDD or can attain it within one year after being hired.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • Experience working on other low‑voltage systems, including Security.
  • Audio/Visual.
  • Wireless.
  • Electrical Engineering degree or related discipline.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $91,000.00 to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
