Position: PCB Design Engineer (Contract)
Location:
Remote
- Design multi-layer PCBs using tools like Allegro OrCAD
- Expertise in high-speed designs and mixed signal PWB boards.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to interpret schematics and create optimal PCB layouts.
- Perform component placement, routing, and DFM/DFT analysis.
- Generate and verify Gerber files, assembly drawings and BOMs.
- Interface with manufacturing vendors to ensure designs meet fabrication and assembly standards.
- Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback for final designs.
- Troubleshoot and revise PCB designs based on testing results.
- Maintain documentation and version control of PCB designs.
- Maintain component libraries and ensure accuracy in part numbers, footprints, and symbols.
- Monitor component EOL (End-of-Life) and obsolescence risks and identify suitable replacements.
- Expertise in Engineering Change Management & Obsolescence Management (OMS, ECR, ECO, ECN).
