Field Service Engineer - Permanent - Covering MD, VA, DC and WV

Field Service Engineer - Diagnostic Imaging Equipment. This is a field-based role covering healthcare sites across MD, VA, DC and WV.

Proclinical is partnering with an organisation within the medical imaging sector that is looking to expand its technical service team. They are seeking a Field Service Engineer to support healthcare customers across the region.

This position is well suited to an engineer who enjoys working in a field-based environment, troubleshooting complex equipment, and ensuring critical diagnostic systems remain operational for clinical users.

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting diagnostic imaging systems installed at hospitals and healthcare facilities. Working closely with the regional service team, you will help ensure equipment performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience working as a Field Service Engineer or Service Technician
  • Background working with medical devices, imaging equipment, or complex capital equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues
  • Comfortable travelling regularly to customer sites across MD, VA, DC and WV
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clinical and technical staff
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel
Field Service Engineer's Responsibilities
  • Installing and commissioning diagnostic imaging equipment at customer locations
  • Performing preventative maintenance to ensure systems remain fully operational
  • Diagnosing technical issues and carrying out repairs on complex medical equipment
  • Conducting system testing, configuration, and calibration following installation or service work
  • Responding to service calls and resolving issues to minimise downtime for clinical customers
  • Completing service documentation and maintaining accurate maintenance records
  • Supporting system upgrades, relocations, and equipment removals when required
  • Providing occasional support across other imaging technologies within the wider product portfolio
Compensation
  • Total compensation package up to $130,000
  • Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel
  • Business expenses covered
