Overview

Tele Solv Consulting has a great opportunity for you to work with the Federal Government as a Civil Engineering Lead. This position is an on‑site position in Washington, D.C. The Civil Engineering Lead provides subject matter expertise in civil engineering to support asset management and compliance activities.

Department: Federal Services

Location: Washington, DC

Responsibilities
  • Advise on civil engineering standards and practices.
  • Support PC&I and CSO project planning and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and the client's engineering policies.
  • Assist in modernization of engineering systems and processes.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams.
Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • PMP or equivalent certification required.
  • An active secret clearance, or the ability to acquire one.

Background

Investigation

This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
