Status: Full-Time, Contingent Upon Award (Start date on or around 30 April)

Location: Washington DC

Security Clearance: Current U.S. Government final Top-Secret clearance and qualified for SCI access or ability to obtain one.

Travel: 25 to 50 percent CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required for program coordination.

Vectrona is seeking a Field Service Technician II HVAC Power to provide technical support to overseas posts by testing, maintaining, and reporting on HVAC, power, acoustic, and RF related equipment in the field. The technician installs and tests equipment to enhance countermeasure capabilities and evaluates new HVAC, power, acoustic, and Radio Frequency systems to ensure effective implementation.

The role includes reviewing compliance with security standards, delivering tailored technical security solutions, and maintaining and repairing shielded environments at overseas facilities, with occasional support to domestic sites. The technician documents test results, maintenance activities, and repairs following overseas travel, and coordinates corrective actions with domestic Department groups and overseas personnel.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Additional responsibilities include providing training to post personnel.
  • Contributing to development of training materials.
  • Maintaining and calibrating test equipment.
  • Managing data throughout its lifecycle to support technical and operational requirements.
Preferred Education / Degree
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least five years of experience maintaining and repairing HVAC, power, or RF shielded enclosures.
  • Professional licensing in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC, or at least two years of relevant experience.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365
  • Substantive knowledge of regulations governing the use and access of classified materials.
  • Demonstrated experience working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition.
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals or groups outside their organization or agency.
  • Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Self motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to learn technical and physical security countermeasure systems and understand Overseas Security Policy Board OSPB standards.
  • Knowledge of current HVAC, power, and RF shielding test procedures, regulations and policies related to technical security countermeasures, and Intelligence Community standards and directives.
  • Skilled in using spectrum analyzers, RF receivers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, amplifiers, antennas, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Knowledge of acoustics and power systems is highly desired.
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, manual labor, using ladders, and working on construction sites.
