Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support an innovative Navy shipbuilding and defense systems program. In this role, you will perform advanced engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms. You will conduct engineering and design studies to allocate UxV attributes to systems in terms of design direction, performance, configuration, space and weight, and arrangement.
You will assess system integration requirements to ensure mission success and provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) of designs through technical products such as drawings, conceptual and product engineering designs, calculations, schematics, and reports. You will ensure structural designs can withstand operational and environmental stresses, calculate stability, strength, and rigidity, and verify appropriate material selection for shipbuilding and defense applications.

Clearance: TS clearance required
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant professional engineering experience.
• Experience supporting R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs.
• Experience performing structural analyses, including stability, strength, rigidity, and environmental stress calculations.
• Experience developing and delivering Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) documentation (drawings, calculations, schematics, reports).
• Knowledge of shipbuilding structural design principles, materials selection, and marine environmental considerations.
• Ability to conduct space, weight, and configuration trade studies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team. Desired
Experience:
• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant professional engineering experience.
• Experience supporting Navy shipbuilding and defense systems programs.
• Experience with UxV systems integration and maritime platform design.
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle processes.
