Position: ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/PHYSICAL SCIENTIST

Duties
  • Provide liaison and coordination efforts between NDW installation environmental staff and various organizational components within NAVFAC.
  • Provide advice and assistance on interpretation and applicability of environmental regulations and Navy policy.
  • Provide environmental compliance project support for customers outside of Navy and coordinate all aspects of execution.
  • Ensure consistent high-quality documentation for contracted environmental engineering projects.
  • Advise developmental environmental compliance project managers in the execution of projects, providing guidance to achieve full potential.
What you need:
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or any State in the U.S is required
  • Ability to Obtain Secret Government Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical science, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • 3-5 years as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for environmental compliance and services in support of Clean Air Act (CAA) and/or Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)
  • 3-5 years utilizing mastery knowledge of advanced concepts, principles, and practices of environmental engineering for environmental compliance to develop technical requirements, prepare justifications, and/or provide technical expertise to leadership
  • 3-5 years knowledge of environmental laws and regulations providing expert technical advice and assistance on interpretation and applicability of current federal, state, regional, and local policies and directives
