This OpportunityWSP USA Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector for the inspection of water distribution systems & treatment facilities and wastewater collection systems, pump stations and treatment facilities. The candidate will serve as a Construction Inspector to support our Construction management and Inspection services related to Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Projects in Washington DC.
Responsibilities- Provide daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes and maintain up-to-date project records.
- Review Contractor submittals, requests for information, change order requests, and as-built drawings.
- Measure and record pay items.
- Attend job progress meetings.
- Communicate conditions and field conflicts/changes to Owner.
- Work closely with other team members, along with personnel from utilities, state, local, and federal agencies.
- Demonstrate independent and effective problem solving/decision making.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Water/Wastewater/Stormwater pumping stations & treatment plants.
- Experience in field inspection, or construction supervision of facilities projects.
- High School Diploma.
- Must possess knowledge and experience in ASTM, ACI, and other miscellaneous construction testing requirements, as well as knowledge in construction inspection procedures, and inspections methodologies, including construction safety.
- Must have good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

CompensationExpected Salary (all locations): $45-48/hour
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
