Position Responsibilities
• Act as principal custodian of power and natural gas market models (capacity expansion, production cost, storage, reliability, revenue requirement).
• Perform quantitative consulting tasks: develop market scenarios and assumptions, evaluate new energy technologies, calculate LCOEs, run market simulations, and interpret results.
• Manage and contribute to engagements involving integrated resource plans, commercial due diligence, reliability & RTO assessments, and other sector analysis.
• Support the development of industry‑leading models through research, analysis, programming, and vetting in reliability, resource adequacy, storage, and EV/DER penetration.
• Develop and present concise, comprehensive reports and presentations to senior‑ and mid‑level client staff.
• Oversee junior staff in production of reports, presentations, and market analyses.
Desired Qualifications
• Minimum two years of professional experience in power and/or natural gas market modeling with tools such as AURORAxmp, PLEXOS, PROMOD, and Encompass.
• Previous project and client management experience.
• Strong interest in and knowledge of power and natural gas market modeling.
• Excellent presentation and writing skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and resourcefulness.
• Team orientation and willingness to mentor junior staff.
• Located in Boston or Washington, DC; hybrid work environment acceptable.

Salary
Estimated annual base salary range: $130,000 - $152,500. Additional bonus incentive compensation may be eligible.
