Key Responsibilities- Lead environmental risk evaluations, permitting, and approvals for technology infrastructure and major capital projects.
- Identify permitting requirements during site acquisition and due diligence processes.
- Manage regulatory agency interactions and develop mitigation strategies for environmental risks.
- Collaborate with architecture and engineering partners on conceptual master planning.
- Communicate environmental requirements to diverse stakeholders including legal, real estate, design, and sustainability teams.
- Oversee preparation of reports, permitting documents, and environmental reviews at federal and state levels.
- Serve as project manager, technical expert, and QA/QC reviewer to ensure quality and compliance.
- Drive business development through proposal preparation and client relationship management.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, and health & safety protocols.
- Work across ERM’s global network to share best practices and deliver exceptional results.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, biology/ecology, planning, program management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of relevant experience in environmental permitting and/or due diligence.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, meet deadlines, and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing technical reports and presenting to clients.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships and thrive in a fast‑paced consulting environment.
- Position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
- Experience with permitting timelines, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
- Technical skills in wildlife or ecological surveys (e.g., wetland delineations, wildlife assessments).
- Familiarity with air quality permitting and multi‑media regulatory compliance programs.
Anticipated annual base pay: $90,100 – $118,233 USD. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. This role may be eligible for bonus pay. Bonus, commission, and other forms of additional compensation are not guaranteed.
