Summary
ARTC is recruiting for a Sr. Engineer who will lead various civil & structural engineering projects related to high‑voltage infrastructure. We are looking for candidates with in‑depth knowledge of structural strength and utility experience. This is a minimum 12‑month contract (strong possibility of multiple extensions) offering an hourly rate of $72–$82/hr, overtime pay, full medical benefits, 401k, and more.
Responsibilities- Lead & manage civil and structural engineering efforts for substation projects from concept through construction.
- Design and analyze steel and concrete structures, foundations, and supporting civil infrastructure.
- Perform engineering calculations, modeling, and simulations to support design decisions.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Support stormwater management, site grading, and civil work associated with substation facilities.
- Evaluate and select materials, equipment, and construction methods.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the electric utility industry.
- Strong experience with Civil/Structural Engineering software such as STAAD, MathCAD, and LPILE.
- In‑depth knowledge of steel and concrete design, foundations, and civil site work.
