Position: Sr Structural Engineer (Data Centers)

Senior Structural Engineer (Data Centers)

Base pay range: $132,900 – $182,700 per year

Location: United States (any location; ideally near a Jacobs U.S. office)

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various structural engineering assignments on Data Center projects (new builds, retrofits, colocations, etc.).
  • Execute analysis, create computer models for structures, calculate member designs and foundations, prepare material take‑offs for estimating, and assist with schedules.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and designers on capital projects; liaise with internal professionals and design departments; coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
  • Contribute to project delivery, supporting integrated delivery solutions across global teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
  • Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
  • Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry‑relevant design codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of building codes.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, including Teams.
  • Ability to travel to client sites 10–20% of the time.
Preferred (Optional) Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Engineering.
  • Experience with industrial metals projects, including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects.
  • Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
