Job Summary

Intralox has a position available for a Quality Engineer supporting projects and programs. This position will be critical to ensuring projects are delivered on‑time without defect. Primary responsibilities include monitoring and tracking performance of specific projects and programs and quickly driving and resolving issues in the plant and field. The applicant must have a science background with proven analytic, organizational and communication skills, and preferably prior experience as a team leader.

Responsibilities
  • Works hand in hand with the Project Managers, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure products are performing at customer sites.
  • Lead the review and analysis of customer complaint information and guide manufacturing, customer service and installation efforts to effectively contain and implement corrective actions.
  • Encourage an environment of teamwork and convey the concepts of the Laitram Business Philosophy within the department.
  • Drive continuous improvement by maintaining quality standards relating to processes, products, and services at every point within Value Stream.
  • Assess project performance and develop strategic plans, processes, and metrics to improve performance.
  • Establish and report on key performance indicators that support the overall global Quality vision.
  • Facilitate and lead continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing waste and boosting efficiency.
  • Perform a variety of complicated Quality Assurance tasks as needed and assigned.
  • May be assigned medium to large sized projects to accomplish independently.
  • May work closely with and direct Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, R & D, Operations team associates to complete projects.
  • Relies on and creates instructions, develops procedures/processes and training, and establishes guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 5 years’ experience working in a Quality or Supplier Quality Assurance role.
  • Strong problem‑solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willing to work overtime and on weekends as required.
  • Willing and able to perform a variety of tasks in support of short‑ and long‑term goals of the Manufacturing division.
  • Functional knowledge of statistics.
  • Ability to travel 50%.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the Material Handling industry preferred.
  • Metal Fabrication experience/knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in an equipment engineer‑to‑order and assemble‑to‑order manufacturing environment.
  • Possess an ASQ or equivalent certification or relevant work experience.
  • Experience implementing SPC and/or Six‑Sigma concepts.
  • Knowledge of best practices for the Quality Assurance function in a Manufacturing environment.
