Network Engineer

Talascend is currently seeking a Network Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Washington, District Of Columbia
.

This role provides overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs, including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the network.

• Support the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, and implementation.
• Complete daily assignments and tasks meeting defined best practices and operational workflow.
• Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).
• Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Interact regularly with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.

• US Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain a DOJ Public Trust Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8+ years experience in a broad range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the proposed area of responsibility.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the technical field and ability to complete difficult and complex assignments.
• Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations.
• Ability to work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range targets.
• Mastery of the job.
