Position
Description:
BKV Group seeks a talented Mechanical Engineer II (PE) with 5-10 years of HVAC and Plumbing design experience to join our Washington, DC team in Georgetown. We are looking for someone with engineering experience in all aspects of design and documentation, preferably with leading edge multi-family housing, commercial and local government clients. Project related responsibilities include the following:
Project Responsibilities- Responsible for Mechanical and Plumbing systems design including Load calculations, Ventilation calculations, Equipment selection, Air distribution systems, Hydronic Systems, Plumbing Systems, Code Evaluations, etc.
- Provide leadership and guidance for Engineers in Training and Designers working on assigned projects.
- Responsible for Mechanical and Plumbing system modeling and drawing preparation using Revit.
- Responsible for the design process coordination of the engineering discipline with the other discipline leaders on assigned projects.
- Responsible for the technical accuracy and completeness of the engineering documentation for BKV Group on assigned projects.
- Professional degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Mechanical Engineering Professional license.
- Experience with Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Trane Trace load calculation software.
- Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
Compensation Range: $125,000 - $135,000 annually, or commensurate with experience.
