Position: Resident Engineer - Washington DC - Active TS/SCI CI Poly requir with Security Clearance
Resident Engineer needed for a direct-hire opportunity with SOC's client to work on-site in Washington, DC.
* Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph is required prior to starting
* Requirements:
* Highly technical role providing pre/post-sales Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support of Juniper products within the customer infrastructure.
* The candidate must have a detailed understanding of protocols used for IP service provider networks and can demonstrate technical expertise in the configuration, troubleshooting and operation of IP based routers, switches, and security devices. Protocol examples: MP-BGP, ISIS, VxLAN-EVPN, MPLS, L2

VPN and L3

VPN.
* Juniper products to be supported: MX, EX, SRX, ACX, PTX

Qualifications:

* Provides technical knowledge and analysis, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
* Contributes to project meetings to report status, issues, and risks.
* Participates, as needed, in all phases of development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
* Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order or project requirements.
* Uses advanced mathematical principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions.
* Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems in the network while maintaining logs and records associated with reported problems or situations.
* Prepare troubleshooting procedures for restoring the network to optimal performance levels.
* Assess and document current site network configuration and user requirements.
* Certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, a plus Employment Prerequisites The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation and d rug urinalysis.
