Salary Range: $73,403 - $93,500
ICF is seeking an Energy Industry Specialist to assist with coordinating programs, projects, and activities focused on energy security and resilience planning with the U.S. Department of Energy. Work includes conducting research, fact finding, and analysis of energy sector policies and infrastructure. In this role, you will gain exposure to senior staff across multiple federal agencies and interact directly with industry officials and the associations that support them.

Key Responsibilities- Coordinate activities between key stakeholders including DOE, other federal agencies, and the electric and oil & gas sector industry.
- Support technical writing and communications, including editing, reviewing, and formatting documents, and creating presentations and briefings.
- Participate in DOE working groups and collaborate efforts across various DOE offices.
- Manage logistics for meetings, including taking effective meeting minutes, tracking milestones and priorities, and following up on meeting action items.
- Bachelor’s degree in energy policy, government, economics, communications, engineering, business, or a related field and 6+ years of experience in research, writing policy, and energy (i.e., infrastructure and markets such as electricity, natural gas, and/or petroleum)
- Master’s degree in energy policy, government, economics, communications, engineering, business, or a related field and 4+ years of experience in research, writing policy, and energy (i.e., infrastructure and markets such as electricity, natural gas, and/or petroleum)
- US Citizenship
- Experience supporting a federal client, particularly the Department of Energy, FERC, or DHS, or working for an energy company or energy industry association
- 8+ years of experience in research, writing, policy, and energy (i.e., infrastructure and markets, including electricity, natural gas, and/or petroleum)
- Experience with data analysis in the energy sector
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, energetic, quick, adaptive learner
- Ability to develop and cultivate strong customer relationships
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-disciplinary environment

Pay InformationPay Range – There are multiple factors considered in determining final pay, including relevant work experience, skills, certifications, geography, and contract provisions. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
