Position

Safety Specialist

Pay Range

$45.00/hr - $65.00/hr

Location

Washington, D.C. (HoR or Senate Buildings)

Duration

Contract until Summer 2026 - with extensions

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety and conducting safety training in construction, manufacturing, or heavy industry
  • Demonstrated mastery of a company safety training program and content delivery
  • Experience performing site inspections to evaluate safety issues; drafting safety policies, procedures, and other documents; performing job hazard analyses; supporting incident investigation and associated reporting and trend analysis; reviewing safety regulations and assessing applicability; and other safety and occupational health related activities
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Fully vaccinated
  • Clean background (will be badged once hired)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
Job Overview

Insight Global is looking to hire a Safety Specialist to support their client on a program for The Architect of the Capitol, a federal agency responsible for the maintenance, operation, and preservation of the Capitol Building. This individual will be responsible for:

Responsibilities
  • Conduct training programs for existing and new policies and procedures
  • Perform site inspections to evaluate safety issues
  • Draft safety policies, procedures, and other documents
  • Perform job hazard analyses
