Overview
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support students in a K-12 school setting, located at Naval Anacost Annex, DC. This contract position is available for the current school year (CSY) and is designed for professionals dedicated to helping students with diverse learning needs achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational regulations.
- Support students social, emotional, and behavioral development alongside academic goals.
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional strategies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learners.
