Responsibilities include teaching 2 courses in grades 6-12, leading student culture and student life events (house, chapel, discipline, etc.). SeeDOS job description for details. Qualified candidates will have an interest in and understanding of classical Christian education as well as a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Experience in educational administration is preferred. Salary and benefits are competitive and dependent on level of education and experience.

The Dean of Students’ primary role is to provide spiritual leadership and guidance to Upper School students. Chapel, retreats, and school events provide a proactive space in our school calendar for the Dean to shape student culture and encourage meaningful engagement outside of the classroom between students and faculty. The responsibilities of the Dean will include oversight of Chapel, school retreats, low-level discipline issues (lunch detention assignments, uniform infractions, etc.),
and some event planning. It is important that the Dean be connected to both the academic life of the school, so he or she will carry a two- or three-class teaching load.
- Collaborate with Upper School Head and Director of Admissions re applicant placements.
- Lead Upper School Rhetoric Retreat Planning
- Collaborate with Grammar Head to cultivate Upper School Culture
- Coordinate supervision of Upper School students with US Head
- Collaborate with Upper School Head regarding student discipline and discipleship
- Ensure enforcement of Uniform
