School Compliance Manager

:
The School Compliance Manager On Assignment is an integral member of the School Support and Service team, working with office managers and the operations team to ensure day-to-day compliance across our schools. Salary range: $71,305–$77,504. Full-time, fully on-site. Position available immediately and will end in June 2026.
By 2025, KIPP DC will evolve into a more impactful, innovative, and inclusive school system supporting 7,500 students and 1,300 teachers across 20 schools and two programs. About the RoleSupport school compliance with federal and state requirements, maintain policy systems, and serve as a friendly face for families. Balance information system management with hands‑on family support.
Location and Type of WorkThis exempt position reports to the Associate Director or Director of School Support and Service (S3). It is fully onsite during regular school hours.
ResponsibilitiesSchool Level Compliance (30%)
- Partner with school teams to implement, monitor, and document compliance on federal and state requirements, including audits, reviews, and annual reports.
- Support student services for ELL and 504 compliance, health records, medication, immunizations, and ESSA programs.
- Monitor attendance, ensuring follow‑up for students with 20+ absences.
- Maintain accurate student records, court orders, and guardian alerts.
Student Enrollment Management (35%)
- Execute campus enrollment strategy, reviewing residency, documentation, and compliance.
- Monitor enrollment budget targets and cadence of offers.
- Collect and manage enrollment, re‑enrollment, and exit documentation.
- Communicate with families about documentation needs and coordinate with school teams.
- Support audits and action steps in the Enrollment Audit and Child Count Application.
- Manage enrollment systems and internal communication to achieve full enrollment.
School & Campus Support (20%)
- Coordinate with office managers and school leaders on enrollment and immunization efforts.
- Clarify compliance processes for school teams.
- Support re‑enrollment and student recruitment, serving as the main family contact.
- Act as a full‑time engaged staff member, assisting recruitment and enrichment activities.
Health Compliance & Coordination (15%)
- Design campus strategy for updated health and immunization records in DOCIIS.
- Coordinate health efforts with nursing staff (e.g., HPEA, screenings, events).
- Ensure monthly health regulation compliance, medication tracking, and adherence training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 4+ years of related experience.
- 2+ years in an educational environment.
- Self‑starter with customer service and relationship management skills.
