* *** Job Overview
** EHLS Program Manager and Recruitment Director, English Language Center, SCS – Georgetown University.  The EHLS Program Manager and Recruitment Director is responsible for recruitment and outreach for this federally-funded grant  program in the Washington, DC metro area. This includes developing, managing, and implementing a recruitment plan to market the program to qualified program applicants.  Tasks also include delivering presentations and information sessions in person and via webinars, and attending relevant DC-area events to promote the program and network with possible applicants.  

This work is conducted in collaboration with program partners at the Center for Applied Linguistics, who are responsible for the nation-wide recruitment campaign.

Program Management responsibilities include planning and implementing program welcome, orientation and team building activities, and assisting with the coordination and implementation of program events, and language testing.  The position is fully grant funded and provides essential support to meet specified program deliverables.
The position is renewable annually, contingent upon funding.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Develop, plan and execute a comprehensive 12-month regional recruitment campaign with supporting materials in consultation with the GU EHLS Director and in collaboration with the Center for Applied Linguistics
* Manage and lead the Washington DC regional recruitment process (excluding advertising). This includes providing program information during information sessions, webinars, and responding to phone and email inquiries
* Develop, plan and execute the following program activities: off-campus housing information sessions for out-of-area candidates, program welcome event, orientation week activities including community-building retreat
* Assist with planning and implementation of program events such as symposium, graduation ceremony, exit week
* Assist administration of entry/exit language testing and proctoring
* Attend relevant recruiting and networking activities in the greater Washington, DC, area to represent and promote the program
* Submit monthly reports to the Director of Programs, ELC

** This position reports to the Director of Programs, ELC. The candidate will collaborate with EHLS program staff, ELC program staff and administrators, program partners including Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL), Institute for International Education (IIE) and Defense Language National Securities Education Office (DLNSEO). The candidate will interact with prospective students (applicants) and current students, as well as EHLS faculty in planning and implementing program activities.

All SCS staff are expected to support SCS Commencement activities This position is vital to ensure a high caliber of qualified candidates in the application pool for the program.
** Requirements and Qualifications
*** Bachelor’s degree (required)
* 3 years’ experience of recruitment activities in an educational environment
* 3 years’ program/project administration experience (preferably within a higher education environment)
* Experience developing and executing a recruitment campaign
* Experience planning and implementing educational program activities (such as orientation, graduation)
* Experience working with adult language learners
* Experience working with local immigrant and/or international communities
* Outstanding MS office skills
* Outstanding oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and cross-cultural awareness
