Georgetown University Berkley School of Nursing (BSON) seeks a full-time educator track faculty for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Accelerated BSN and Master of Science Entry to Nursing Practice (MS-EN) programs. The successful candidate is expected to have three to five years of academic and/or clinical teaching experience, espouse a personal philosophy that aligns with the Georgetown University's Berkley School of Nursing mission, vision, and commitment to antiracism in any and all forms, demonstrate leadership experience, and exhibit excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred areas of clinical and didactic experience:
Adult Acute or Critical Care Nursing.
- Didactic and clinical instruction within content area of expertise
- Provide administrative leadership and support to the program in collaboration with the Program Directors
- Active and sustained engagement in scholarly activities
- Mentoring support of junior faculty
- Faculty advisor to nursing students
- Participation in curriculum development, program review and evaluation, accreditation activities and annual reporting reports to various external bodies
- Engagement in school and program level activities, scholarship, service, and mission supporting initiatives
- Service on doctoral committees as content expert, project mentor, or chair
- Current eligibility to obtain an RN license in the District of Columbia
- Terminal degree in nursing or related field
- Administrative leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in professional development
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development
The BSON is seeking a doctorally prepared faculty member committed to student formation, who is engaged in nursing education within undergraduate BSN, Accelerated BSN, and the Master of Science Entry to Practice program. The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills, demonstrate the ability to serve as a strong role model for students and faculty across the school, and possess administrative leadership experience focused on organizational leadership and program development.
Current eligibility to obtain an RN license in the District of Columbia is necessary. Academic rank commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to have a program of scholarly inquiry with noteworthy contributions to the profession via peer-reviewed published papers, research engagement, and other dissemination efforts.
The projected salary pay range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000, which represents the full range of anticipated compensation for this position. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
