The position involves conducting research for the National Center for the Elimination of Educational Disparities (NCEED) and teaching at graduate and/all undergraduate levels. The appointee will collaborate with NCEED’s curriculum and pedagogy team to design and carry out equity-focused research in P–12 education, particularly in mathematics instruction

The faculty member will also be responsible for developing a research agenda
, pursuing external funding
, and producing research-informed interventions that promote equitable teaching and learning. In addition to their research duties, the individual will teach courses and may chair dissertation committees within the School of Education and Urban Studies. The workload will be equally divided between NCEED and the academic department, with normal faculty service requirements applying.

Strong research skills
Strong qualitative or quantitative data analysis skills.
Ability to work collaboratively
Knowledge of and experience in P-12 at the school, school system and/or community level.
P-12 classroom experience or experience in teacher preparation would be an asset.
RequiredMinimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D or Ed.D from an accredited university or college with specialization in mathematics education.
Other Preferences for ConsiderationK-12 experience is an asset. Experience in grant-funded research.
