SummaryJob Description:
The Teaching Assistant (TA) for GOVT-105 Individual Freedom v Authority will run a weekly one-hour discussion section and be available to talk to students in one of the six sections of Individual Freedom v. Authority offered in Spring 2026. The Teaching Assistant will also meet with the course’s professor to discuss class and coordinate section topics.

- Meet with the course’s professor to discuss class and coordinate section topics.
- Part-time.
- 5 expected hours per week.
- $17.95 per hour.
- Having previously taken Individual Freedom v. Authority (GOVT 105).
- Good understanding of the main issues of political philosophy.
- All AU students are eligible to apply for this position, with a preference for those students with a Federal Work Study award.
- This position is available only to enrolled American University students.
