J Street U is launching a paid fellowship program in 2026 to establish and grow our presence on priority campuses nationwide. This fellowship serves as a catalyst for bringing J Street U to new campuses and to students who would benefit from being part of our community. Fellows will receive $750 per semester to lead grassroots organizing efforts and establish J Street U programming on their campus.

This role is designed for motivated students who can independently launch initiatives while working collaboratively with regional staff. Fellows will serve as the primary J Street U representative on campus, building community and connecting students to our broader movement.

• Must be an enrolled undergraduate student on a campus with no existing J Street U chapter or limited J Street U presence
• Cannot be graduating in May 2026 (undergraduates in freshman, sophomore, or junior year eligible)
• Ineligible to apply for the Dounn Congressional Fellowship program during fellowship term

• 3-5 hours per week
• Two semesters (full academic year commitment)

• Plan and execute 6 J Street U programs throughout the academic year (3 per semester)
• Represent J Street U at campus orientation, information sessions, and activities fairs each semester to engage new students
• Conduct one-on-one meetings with interested students to encourage deeper involvement
• Coordinate campus recruitment efforts for J Street's National Conference
• Develop and maintain relationships with campus Hillel and other relevant student organizations
• Serve as primary campus liaison for J Street U activities and initiatives
• Attend bi-weekly regional meetings with other fellows and regional coordinators
• Participate in bi-weekly check-in meetings with assigned regional coordinator
• Attend four leadership seminars throughout the academic year (two per semester)
